Stephen M. Dufilho

Stephen M. Dufilho was appointed chairman of the board of directors of Invictus Medical, Inc. in 2013. Through a distinguished career spanning nearly a half-century, Mr. Dufilho has amassed extensive executive management, business development and corporate governance expertise in health care, financial services and related industries.

Mr. Dufilho currently serves as a trustee and board treasurer of Ascension Health, the nation’s largest nonprofit health system and the third largest system in the U.S. based on total revenues. Additionally, he served as chairman of the board for Texas-based CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health Care and as a past board member of the University of Texas Health Sciences Center.

Until 2012, Mr. Dufilho served as chairman and chief executive officer of The Trust Company, a multi-billion-dollar trust and investment services firm. While leading The Trust Company, Mr. Dufilho delivered to shareholders the company’s first-ever dividend. Prior to his post at The Trust Company, Mr. Dufilho served as chairman and chief executive officer of BBVA Compass – San Antonio.  He grew the enterprise, which began as The Bank of San Antonio, from $100 million in assets to more than $1 billion.

A certified public accountant, Mr. Dufilho received his B.A. in Economics from the University of Saint Thomas, and his M.A. in Economics from Saint Mary’s University. 

Mr. Dufilho and his wife, Adele, reside in San Antonio, Texas.

Lynne D. Nauss

Lynne D. Nauss is an accomplished global healthcare industry executive with a deep and comprehensive background in global business development, product commercialization, regulatory affairs, marketing and financial operations.

Ms. Nauss most recently served on the executive management team at Kinetic Concepts Inc. (KCI), a multi-billion-dollar Texas-based global medical technology company. Until 2011, Ms. Nauss served as Executive Vice President/Office of the CEO of KCI Japan. In this Tokyo-based role, she led the highly complex build up of corporate and commercial operations as KCI entered the Japan market for the first time. In its first 18 months of operation, the Japan business grew to nearly $40 million and employed a team of more than 200. Ms. Nauss joined KCI in 2001 as Vice President of Marketing and during her time in this role the company grew from $400 million in revenue to more than $1 billion and completed a highly successful IPO. While at KCI, she also served on the Executive Committee and was president of the company’s Therapeutic Support Systems division.

Prior to KCI, Ms. Nauss was an executive at Roche Diagnostics, where over 19 years she held a series of leadership positions. Her tenure at Roche included oversight for the strategic market development and growth of the ACCU-CHEK® diabetes care product line, which grew into a $600 million business and became the number-one brand in its category at the time. While at Roche, Ms. Nauss also expanded the company’s diabetes blood glucose monitoring into a hospital point-of-care product and major retail and consumer-driven therapy.

Ms. Nauss currently serves as a corporate advisory board member for HCB Health, an Austin, Texas-based healthcare marketing and advertising agency with a specialization in medical devices. She also was a founding member of the board of directors for the San Antonio chapter of Girls Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to the development and mentoring of at-risk girls.

Ms. Nauss and her husband, Bill, reside in San Antonio, Texas.

Tom Roberts

Tom Roberts was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Invictus Medical, Inc. in 2012. Mr. Roberts has more than 20 years of experience in significant leadership roles and executive management at large corporations, mid-caps and start-up companies in the medical technology and device sectors.  Mr. Roberts is also a member of the Invictus Board of Directors.

Under Mr. Roberts’ leadership, Invictus Medical has established a strong funding and financial position, has recruited a highly experienced board of directors and executive management team, and has established critical commercialization partnerships.  Invictus Medical plans to launch its flagship product in mid-year 2014.

Over Mr. Roberts’ quarter century career in the medical diagnostics and healthcare industries, he has been responsible for billion-dollar global healthcare brands and the successful commercialization of numerous medical device products both domestically and internationally.  Prior to joining Invictus Medical, Mr. Roberts served as a corporate Vice President of Portfolio and Brand Strategy at Kinetic Concepts, Inc. – a publicly traded, multi-billion-dollar medical technology company located in San Antonio, Texas.  In this role, Roberts directed the global product portfolio of a wound care business unit generating $800 million in annual revenue.

Roberts has held senior leadership positions at Boehringer Mannheim Corporation and Roche Diagnostics where, among his key roles, he served as Vice President, Marketing, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, as well as General Manager of Roche, Diabetes Care, Canada.  His tenure at Roche included global oversight for the product development and strategic marketing of the ACCU-CHEK® Advantage diabetes care product line, which grew into a $1 Billion global business and became the number-one brand in its category at the time.

Mr. Roberts is an active member of the community and industry organizations including BioMed SA, Medical Industry Organizations of San Antonio, San Antonio Life Science Association, and the Texans Technology Development Center.  Mr. Roberts received his B.S. in Biology from Denison University, and his M.B.A. from Indiana Wesleyan University.  He has also completed executive level programs at the London Business School, U.K. and Indiana University, Kelly School of Business, for select executive leadership and high level marketing programs.

Eric Eisbrenner

Eric Eisbrenner has 35 years of extensive and varied business experience in executive management, financial operations, venture capital and business development. He currently serves as chief financial officer of Invictus Medical.

Mr. Eisbrenner began his career working for CPA firms and management consulting groups and in recent years has specialized in the investment capital and growth of start-up companies in health care, manufacturing, biotechnology and other industries. During his career, he has raised tens of millions of dollars in capital and has helped lead and participate in successful IPOs and corporate restructurings.

Prior to joining Invictus, Mr. Eisbrenner was a co-founder, former CFO and board member of Texas-based medical device company, Vidacare Corporation. Since its inception, Vidacare has earned numerous national and industry distinctions, including the 2008 Wall Street Journal Innovation Award and the Gold Medical Design Excellence Award. In October 2013, Teleflex Incorporated (NYSE:TFX), a leading global provider of medical devices for critical care and surgery, announced it entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Vidacare at a transaction worth approximately $265 million.

Mr. Eisbrenner and his wife, Lynn, reside in San Antonio and are active volunteers in the community, including with several faith-based organizations.

Dennis P. Kane

Dennis P. Kane has more than 35 years of experience in global sales and marketing of pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, and devices, including global and US sales and marketing at Phadia AB (formerly Pharmacia Diagnostics). He was responsible for building and expanding operations related to disease management and pharmacoeconomics while at Upjohn Inc. before their merger with Pharmacia.

Prior to joining the Invictus Medical, Inc. Board of Directors, Mr. Kane was Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing, for Phadia AB, a company selling reagents and systems for serologic testing in the fields of allergy and autoimmune diseases. Originally known as Pharmacia Diagnostics, Phadia was purchased by Thermo Fisher in 2011.

Before undertaking this global position, Mr. Kane served as Vice President, US Sales and Marketing at Phadia, and was responsible for the successful creation, development, and execution of the US primary care expansion strategy of bringing allergy testing into the primary care setting. During the 8 years he led this initiative, sales increased 8-fold and the sales team grew from 15 to more than 230 field-based representatives. While in this position, he was also instrumental in the formation and launch of PiRL®, the Phadia Immunology Reference Laboratory, where new emerging technology was developed and commercialized with FDA clearance.

Currently, Mr. Kane is serving on the Board of Directors of Aerocrine AB, a Swedish public company that markets instruments worldwide for the measurement of nitric oxide. He is also on the Board of Directors of Armune Bioscience, Inc., a privately held US company developing novel new biomarkers for oncology.

He and his wife, Patty, reside in Naples, Florida.
